Whole School Trip to Longleat

Dear Parents/Carers

Whole School Trip June 2025

On Friday, June 20th, 2025, all classes will visit Longleat Safari Park. The children will spend the day visiting the safari park and other attractions. This will support and enhance many of the topics covered in school over the course of the year and be tremendous fun for all the children.

Please note the following arrangements:-

• We will be leaving school at 9.00 am PROMPTLY. The coach will not wait for latecomers. We will return to school at approximately 4.30 pm.

• If your child requires a packed lunch, please make your selection on the form on the page. If you are supplying a packed lunch from home, please tick the relevant box. Please ensure you send the packed lunch in a plastic bag clearly marked with your child’s name. (These bags will be thrown away at the end of the day.) As we are a “Healthy School”, please do not include chocolate, sweets, or fizzy drinks.  

• Children should wear their school uniform and sensible shoes. We will be outside for most of the day, so please consider applying sunscreen before school and sending in a sunhat if the forecast is for hot weather. 

• Please note that children will only be taken on this trip if we are confident that their behaviour will not endanger their safety or that of the other children. 

• The Parents and Friends Association has subsidised the cost of the trip, and therefore we are able to keep the cost to parents down to a voluntary contribution of £10.00. Please ensure that all cash and cheques (made payable to ‘Somerset Council’) are brought into school in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with your child’s name and class by Friday 13^th June 2025. No child will be allowed on the trip without a completed consent form. 

• If you wish to start paying for the trip in instalments, please see Ms Hayne in the office 

• This trip can only go ahead if we have enough support. Therefore, if we do not receive enough voluntary contributions, regrettably, the trip will have to be cancelled.

We are very excited to be able to offer this trip to our children, and I am sure that they will have a wonderful time.
